Case Study Published: Material Quantity Set-up for Poka-Yoke in the Assembly Process

JOHNAN has published a case study on its 5S Activities web page concerning material quantity set-up for
poka-yoke (error-proofing) in the assembly process.

Details

In this case study, we introduce an assembly process in which the quantity of materials required for assembly was not properly managed and the sequence for supplying materials and tools was not standardized, resulting in variation between operators. Materials were individually set into trays according to the required quantity, reducing the time needed for quantity verification, and the usage sequence of parts and tools was clearly numbered, helping prevent missed assembly steps and improve work efficiency.
